Both E*TRADE and Tastytrade charge same fee for regular stock trades which amounts to $0.00. When it comes to option contracts E*TRADE is slightly more expensive at $0.65 per contract compared to Tastytrade’s $0.50 per contract.

Which Platform Offers Broader Selection of Investment Options:

E*TRADE grants investors access to diverse array of investment options which includes Stock Trading, Options Trading, OTC Stocks, Mutual Funds, Futures Trading and Advisor Services. On the other hand Tastytrade provides investors with access through Stock Trading, Fractional Shares, Options Trading, and Futures Trading.
However neither platform supports Forex Trading. In terms of Mutual Funds E*TRADE surpasses Tastytrade by offering 4377 no transaction fee (NTF) mutual funds, whereas tastytrade doesn’t offer any of them.
